Postgraduate Study

The University has a large postgraduate community, with nearly half our students studying at postgraduate level. Because of this we have a great amount of experience in developing and delivering postgraduate courses and in supporting postgraduate students.

The Department of Sociology at the University of Leicester has a long and respected tradition in both teaching and research. In the latest Research Assessment Exercise (2009), 75% of our submitted research was considered at least "internationally recognised" (rated 2* or better).
