Interests

Ryan Mowat is the Managing Editor of Social Science & Medicine, the world’s largest social science journal, which is run from the Department of Sociology at University of Leicester. He completed his doctorate, Narrative Ethics in Postcolonial Fiction, in 2003, and since then has been involved full time in academic publishing, but has continued to publish research in his areas of interest. These are postcolonial literature, literary theory, and representations of health and the body in pain in literature.
