Unit for Diversity, Inclusion & Community Engagement

The Unit for DICE serves as an instrument to promote diversity, inclusion and community engagement within the University of Leicester, and on local and national level.

Against the wider background of accelerating diversity, in-migration and social change – and as new priorities and tensions around migration, ethnicity, gender, disability, faith, age, sexual orientation, transgender and other forms of difference come to the fore – the Unit for DICE in the School of Media, Communication and Sociology will be at the very heart of debates about promoting inclusion and making positive benefits out of diversity.

The Unit for DICE will prioritise promoting an audible public voice by acting as a hub for intelligent debate, routinely connecting community members, practitioners and policy makers to leading academics on campus and local and national media outlets.
