BA History and Politics
UCAS code: VL12
This degree has been designed to give students an understanding of issues such as the historical development of ideas and institutions, the theory and practice of international relations and the history of political thought. The balanced combination of history and politics enables you to develop an informed awareness of the contemporary world and a clear perception of the historical roots of its social, economic and political structures, ideas and problems.
You may transfer to a four-year version of the degree, BA History and Politics (EU). This includes a year at one of a wide range of Exchange Universities in Europe. You may apply to transfer during your first year, and a language qualification is not essential as tuition is available within the University to bring language skills up to the necessary level for study abroad.
