Centre for Diplomacy and International Studies - CeDIS
CeDIS aims to reach out to a broad and international audience to inform and generate debate on the key issues of international politics.
Rationale
CeDIS acts as a focal point for the Department’s research in international politics and international relations theory. It also provides a forum for the organisation, discussion and dissemination of research in these areas, both nationally and internationally.
Its immediate membership comprises staff from the Department of Politics and International Relations, but also staff in other departments in the University, such as Media and Communication Studies and Geography, who have shared research interests, giving the work of CeDIS a valuable interdisciplinary quality. Further, CeDIS has an International Advisory Board made up of leading academics drawn from across the globe.
CeDIS has hosted a range of academic seminars, workshops and conferences involving staff from Leicester and leading figures. Its events are open to all.
