Masters or Diploma?
On a full-time Masters course, you will be taught for two semesters.
- MA courses: two modules in each semester, worth 30 credits each
- MSc Political Research: three modules in each semester, worth 20 credits each
The course starts in September and you will have exams in May/June. After successfully completing the exams, you can either receive a Diploma or choose to write a dissertation (on a subject of your choosing). Your dissertations is due in the following September and is worth 60 credits. On successsfully completing this, you will receive your MA or MSc.
Part-time study
If you are a UK/EU student, you can study the MA or Diploma on a part-time basis over two years (part-time study is not available for students from outside the EU).
You will take two modules in the first year and two more (plus the dissertation, if required) in the second. Although we advise taking the core module in the first year, this is not compulsory because we appreciate the special circumstances and timetable problems which part-time students may face.

" I have examined in either an internal or an external capacity almost all of the other Masters degrees in Diplomacy available in this country and there can be little question that this is the best in terms of both scope and depth."
