Foyer of the Bennett Building

All sessions take place in the Bennett Building, situated at the northern end of the University of Leicester campus, about ten minutes' walk from the railway station.

The Bennett Building is home to the Departments of Geography and Geology (don't leave without seeing our T rex skeleton!).

The welcome and lecture on Monday, and dinner on each of the three evenings, takes place in the accommodation, John Foster Hall, which is about two miles from the University.

Getting here

The University of Leicester is easily accessible by road, rail, air and coach.

Unfortunately the bus from the city centre to the Halls of Residence only operates during term time. The Arriva 31/31A runs from Charles Street Bus Station, via the Railway Station, to Oadby; you should alight at Oadby Racecourse which is about ten minutes' walk from the Oadby Student Village.

Alternatively, you can take a taxi. There is a taxi rank at the Railway Station or you can book a cab.

Transport between accommodation and campus

On Tuesday and Wednesday, coach transportation will be provided for delegates from John Foster Hall to the University in the morning and back again in the evening.

Car parking on campus

Please note that car parking is not available on site on the University campus. The nearest car park is Victoria Park Car Park (pay and display) which is just off London Road, about five minutes walk away.
