Novel X-ray Optics for Space Missions

Enlarged view of MicroChannel Plate being developed in the Space Research Centre for X-ray detection in space missions such as the BepiColombo mission to Mercury.

The Space Research Centre has a long heritage in designing and building novel X-ray optics for space missions such as the MIXS instrument for BepiColombo.

This PhD will help in the design and testing of new, wide angle, low mass X-ray optic designs for upcoming space missions.
