J-PEX and Sounding Rockets
The Department of Physics and Astronomy has a long history of involvement in Sounding Rocket research programmes. The most recent of these, J-PEX, is a collaboration between between the University of Leicester, the United States Naval Research Laboratory , and Mullard Space Science Laboratory.
The Rockets Pages on this website provide more detailed information on the J-PEX mission, along with some historical information on the skylark sounding rockets, the workshops we offer to schools, and the High Power Rocket Project which has been run as a third year undergraduate project in the department for several years.
