- What causes the eerie Northern Lights to appear in the sky?
- What ancient stories do Arctic people tell about the lights?
- Where can you see them? Why do they blow our mind?
Leicester poet and storyteller Siobhan Logan has performed her poems about the Northern Lights to audiences ranging from primary school children to astronomers. Her work blends the science of the aurora borealis with legends from the north. This talk will explore how auroral physics has inspired her poetry and what it's like to experience the Northern Lights in their Arctic landscape.
