Future UK Space Science Missions: An RAS Specialist Discussion Meeting
Welcome to the website for the RAS Specialist Discussion Meeting on Future UK Space Science Missions, co-organised by Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) and the University of Leicester.
The Space Innovation and Growth Strategy published in February 2010 recommended that
The UK should
initiate and lead at least three space exploration or science missions by
2030.
In order to further the debate on this recommendation, a Royal Astronomical Society specialist discussion meeting was held in London on Friday 12 October 2012, where potential candidate missions that might satisfy this objective were presented and discussed.
