We have now conducted a large number of interviews and we are now in a position to start making offers for A100 Home/EU students.
A101 graduates and A100 international applicants are already receiving decisions and this will be ongoing.
Please be patient if you have not heard from us and please do not contact the Medical School at this busy time.
2012 Interviews

We have now started the process of sending out invitations for interview. This will be an ongoing process until the end of March 2012.
All students will receive an emailed decision regarding their application in due course.
We ask for your patience as we will be unable to respond to individual queries regarding the selection process during this busy period.
New Interview Process

We will be changing our interview process with the introduction of multiple mini-interviews (MMI). The format will include an assessment of motivation, commitment, written communication, verbal communication and problem solving.
Should you be invited for an interview at the Leicester Medical School, they will be taking place during the following weeks:
Week Commencing: 30 January 2012 *
Week Commencing: 27 February 2012
Week Commencing: 26 March 2012
* It is expected that graduates applying to the A101 course would be invited for interview during this week.
Please Note:
We will be unable to reschedule interview dates as these will be Multiple Mini-Interviews.
If you are invited to a morning interview, you would need to arrive by 8.45 am.
If you are invited to an afternoon interview, you would need to arrive by 12.00 pm.
Invitations for interview will be sent out by email in late December/early January. Applicants are encouraged to check their emails regularly and respond promptly to any invitation they receive.

We are changing our admissions procedures for 2012
We are changing our admissions procedures for 2012 for both our 5 year (A100) and 4year(A101) courses.
UCAS Forms
We will grade applications according to academic ability and UKCAT score initially.
We will then assess personal qualities by reviewing the personal statement and reference.
If any applicant has mitigating personal, domestic, social or educational circumstances they should send this information to the Medical School immediately after submission of their UCAS form.Applications will be ranked and we anticipate that approximately 750 (Home/EU) applicants will be invited for interview.
Interviews
We will also be changing our interview process with the introduction of multiple mini-interviews (MMI). The exact format is under discussion but it is likely that the MMI will include an assessment of motivation, commitment, written communication, verbal communication and problem solving.
UCAS Extra AND Clearing
The Medical School will not be entering Clearing or using Extra
