Undergraduate Courses

The Department of Molecular & Cell Biology is one of three departments that contribute to the undergraduate (BSc) degrees offered by the School of Biological Sciences.
The School of Biological Sciences offers degree courses in Biological Sciences with a variety of specialisations, including

which are taught primarily by academic staff within the Department of Molecular & Cell Biology. Academic staff within this department also contribute to37_MMS00047.jpg

The School of Biological Sciences also offers a number of named degree courses in Medical Bioscience, with academic staff from the Department of Molecular & Cell Biology making leading contributions to

•       Medical Physiology

All of the undergraduate degrees that we offer receive consistently excellent feedback from our students (e.g. through the National Student Survey) and through the various league tables published higher educational stakeholders and by national newspapers (e.g. the Guardian).

Our undergraduate degree programmes are taught primarily by academic staff who are actively involved in research. We believe that this greatly benefits our students who are being taught by lecturers and tutors who are often at the research cutting-edge of the topics they are teaching.
