Research Summary
Dr Fayard's research focuses on 20th century and contemporary French theatre, in particular Shakespeare in France. She is the author of The Performance of Shakespeare in France since the Second World War: Re-imagining Shakespeare (Edwin Mellen, 2006), and has also published articles on the work of Georges Lavaudant, Daniel Mesguich and Stéphane Braunschweig. More recent research has taken her into the fields of contemporary French women writers and gender violence. Her current project investigates sexual violence in France in the twenty-first century. Dr. Fayard has also published on the methodology of language teaching.
