Course Fees

Fees are as follows:

  • £175.00 paid in advance for two terms (20 weeks) which covers one complete level
  • Or £95 for one term (10 weeks).

Registration and refunds policy

Refunds are only given under exceptional circumstances, such as serious and documented illness (with a medical certificate).
The reasons for this are as follows: when sufficient students are enrolled on a class a tutor is appointed on a ten week contract. The tutor must be paid when the course starts. If students are given refunds at that stage, we would not be in a position to pay the tutor. If you feel you are enrolled on the wrong level you can move.  Please note that the courses are aligned to the European Common Framework (ECF) and taught accordingly. Consequently, if you have paid for 10 weeks (£95), you will get no refund once the semester has started.  Up to the end of Semester 1 classes (16th December 2011), if you have paid for 20 weeks, you will be refunded £175 minus £95 (first semester fee) and a £15 administration charge,  = £65 refund.  If you withdraw before Semester 2 starts (22nd January 2012) the administration fee will be £30 as tutors have already been contracted at that point = £50 refund.  There will be no refunds once Semester 2 classes start on 23rd January 2012.
All refunds must have the consent of the Director of Languages at Leicester.

If the University of Leicester cancels a Languages at Leicester course for which you have paid, you will receive a full refund.
