Modern Languages at Leicester rated 7th in the Country

In its annual survey of UK universities the Guardian newspaper's University Guide 2012 has rated Modern Languages at the University of Leicester as 7th in the country. The survey examined all four language areas offered at Leicester (French, German, Italian and Spanish studies) and encompasses such diverse factors as staff: student ratios, student satisfaction and graduate employability. A very gratifying 92% of our students said that they were satisfied with the teaching offered in the School, and 73% of our graduates were reported as having a job within six months of graduating.

This excellent news is yet another example of how the degree programmes within the School of Modern Languages offer our students an outstanding learning experience. The result follows other successes in recent years in, amongst other areas, the National Student Survey, as well as the University of Leicester's nomination as Times Higher University of the Year in 2008/09.
