Modern Languages 3rd

Guardian badge 3rd

Modern Languages at Leicester is now ranked 3rd nationally – just behind Cambridge and Oxford, in the latest Guardian University League Table (2016).

This is a fantastic achievement for the School and a reflection of the hard work done over the past few years by all teaching staff and professional services colleagues to ensure students get excellent tuition and an outstanding experience in the School.

The score is an improvement on the impressive result achieved in the Guardian last year when Modern Languages at Leicester was ranked 6th nationally. In recent years Modern Languages at UoL has consistently been placed in the top ten.

National Student Survey Success

We are delighted to report that the National Student Survey (NSS) results for 2014 have put the University of Leicester in first place for Iberian Studies with 100%.  French Studies also scored impressively with 93%.

The survey rates the opinions of final year students in six categories including academic support and personal development; the score from the overall satisfaction category is quoted above.
