Media and Communication at Leicester

In 2016 the Department of Media and Communication will celebrate 50 years of media and communication research at the University of Leicester and will host the annual conference of the International Association of Media and Communication Research. Over 1,200 delegates from across the world are expected to attend this prestigious event.

Following the conclusion of the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, the department placed 15th overall for media research in the country, with 82% of research articles and books being rated as “world leading” or “internationally excellent”. The department is also ranked 8th in the Complete University guide with an overall score of 95.1%.
