Leicester academic predicts a future for newspapers
Public lecture in Jamaica suggests death of print is a long way off.
Roger Dickinson is Senior Lecturer in our Department of Media and Communication and also the Department’s Director of Distance Learning. Last week he was in Kingston, Jamaica to deliver a public lecture on new media and social responsibility at the Creative Production and Training Centre.
The Jamaica Observer reports on Roger’s opinion that the predicted demise of print communication has been exaggerated and that it is mostly a US problem rather than a global one.
“Print still has a long shelf life," he said.
