Title: Compactified Jacobians, Abel maps and limit linear series
Abstract: I will explain what compactifications of the (generalized) Jacobian of a singular curve there are, how one can try to construct Abel maps of any degree for them, and the connection between these maps and the theory of limit linear series by Eisenbud and Harris and by Osserman.
