Call for nominations

for the next Chair of the Scientific Committee of the BMC. Peter Giblin will stand down as current chair of the Scientific Committee at the end of his term of office on 31 May. Nominations are invited for candidates for the next chair, who will begin their office on 1 June 2011, and should be made to John Hunton, to be received by him by 5 April. The only nomination received so far is that of Charles Goldie; if further nominations are received by 5 April then an election will be held at the AGM of the BMC to be held in Leicester on 19 April. It is expected that the new chair elect will be present for the meeting of the Scientific Committee in Leicester on 20 April.
