Pre-Masters Diploma in Mathematics

Why study this course?
The Pre-Masters Diploma offers a one year route for less-mathematical graduates to be prepared for the study of mathematics at Masters level. The aim of the course is to equip students with the essential knowledge for successful admission onto the MSc programmes run by the department. If you have studied your undergraduate degree in a related financial subject but don't possess enough mathematical skills to proceed onto an MSc in Mathematics, this course would bridge that knowledge gap and allow you to proceed with an MSc degree the following year (subject to successful completion).
Why study at the University of Leicester
- The course is taught in the department of Mathematics and the modules studied will be tailored to allow you to progress to an MSc degree. Your programme of study will be developed with your previous experience taken into account so that you achieve a solid grounding in the relevant mathematical subjects that will enhance and complement your previous qualifications and experience.
- The modules you'll cover are all taken from our successful undergraduate programme so you'll also benefit from being part of the student community at the department, allowing you to explore mathematics with a broad range of lecturers and students.
