Faculty and Institute of Actuaries Certificate in Financial Mathematics
Tuition
LUFT is offering tuition for the Certificate in Financial Mathematics at £400 per person. Tuition starts in May and October each year. This will provide tuition up to the professional exam set for April and September each year.
The tuition is via supported distance learning and uses innovative methods and technology already used extensively within the University's accredited MSc in Actuarial Science.
The fixed price includes:
- A specially prepared text book covering all material with worked examples
- Access to the University's virtual learning environment
- Electronic forums and podcasts used to support your learning
- Email access to a tutor who will respond to your questions within 48 hours
- Regular assignments with full marking and feedback
- A mock examination with full marking and feedback
- Access to the University's extensive digital library
For an additional cost of £120, you may also attend an intensive one-day tutorial held shortly before the exam, to be held at the University's main campus.
For those of you thinking of using this as a first step in your studies of Actuarial Science, successful candidates will gain an exemption from one module of the University of Leicester's fully accredited MSc in Actuarial Science.
