Please let Sibylle Schroll or Nicole Snashall know by August 25th if you are coming to the meeting, especially if you require accommodation or will be coming to the meal on Thursday evening.
This is a joint meeting with the Representation Theory across the Channel Network, and is supported by an LMS Scheme 3 grant and EPSRC Network Grant EP/F029381/1. This is used to help offset travel costs for participants, with priority given to covering travel and accommodation costs for speakers and postgraduates. For more information about support for travel/accommodation costs from the LMS/REPNET, please email Nicole Snashall.
Travel information is HERE. Where possible, accommodation will be arranged in the Spindle Lodge Hotel or the Stoneycroft Hotel.
There will be time for informal discussions during the meeting.
Abstracts:
Claude Cibils: We prove that a schurian category over a field admits a universal grading, by the topological fundamental group of a CW-complex attached to it. Consequently the "intrinsic fundamental group à la Grothendieck" of a schurian category is isomorphic to the topological fundamental group. Moreover the Hurewicz morphism from its abelian characters to the first Hochschild cohomology is in this case an isomorphism. This is joint work with Maria Julia Redondo and Andrea Solotar.
