Unit for Membership Based Organisations (UMBO)
The Unit is a research based focal point in the School of Management dealing with problems of management and organisational development within the co-operative and mutual and social economy sectors. The Unit has a special focus on Co-operative Management and Organisational Development. The Unit also retains a research interest in the following closely related areas of academic research which often provide important contexts for Co-operative Organisational Development, namely, the market economy, the labour market, the domestic economy, the trade union movement and the application of Catholic Social Teaching, Theology and Comparative Religious Dialogue in these areas.
