EPRU - Efficiency and Productivity Research Unit
Welcome to the EPRU
The Efficiency and Productivity Research Unit (EPRU) was established on 1 August 2001 and is based in the University of Leicester School of Management. It was formerly known as the Efficiency and Productivity Unit (EPU). The Unit contributes to the fulfilment of the School of Management's wider vision by striving to conduct research of the highest international standard in the field of performance measurement.
In pursuing its research goals, EPRU is committed to co-operating with institutions and researchers with similar objectives within and outside Europe. In order to promote efficiency and productivity as well as dissemination of its research findings, the Unit seeks to:
- Organise seminars, conferences, and workshops involving academics and practitioners.
- Publish its own discussion paper series and research journal on performance measurement.
- Organise short-term executive training programmes on performance management.
- Supply a range of consultancy and services covering all aspects of performance measurement to increase efficiency and productivity in different industries.
EPRU has a growing community of doctoral students working on performance measurement and production analysis. You will find additional information about EPRU and its current activities on the following pages. You will also find downloadable discussion papers on efficiency and productivity by the EPRU team.
