Brief Biography

Fredy finished a Magister in Social Studies of Science at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, with a research thesis on the public controversies around the early usages of psychological treatments in a Colombian prison during the seventies. Fredy became a student of the PhD program in May 2012.

Research Interests

Fredy is interested in science and technology studies, the configuration of socio-materiality and the political legitimation of expert knowledge. In his current PhD project, Fredy is exploring the relations between expert knowledge and the access to humanitarian aids and psychosocial assistance provided by the government to victims of the armed conflict in Colombia.
