Biography

Saleem completed a BA in Economics in 2004, Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration in 2005, and a MSc Finance in 2009. He then started his PhD at the School of Management, University of Leicester in September 2010.

PhD Research

Saleem is very interested in enriching his knowledge regarding how banks can operate efficiently at the high level of competition in the EU banking sector. In addition, he is looking at how significantly bank efficiency might be connected to stock performance in the stock market, and  what variables could contribute to explaining the differences in bank efficiency among the EU member states. And finally, how all the above ideas would look like when an economic crisis takes place.
