Biography

Hang Cheng studied for her BA business administration at Bedfordshire University. In 2009 she gained her MSc Finance degree at the University of Leicester School of Management (ULSM) .

PhD Research

Hang Cheng focuses on investigating characteristics of capital structure and financing preference of corporate.

Her PHD project is the determinants of capital structure in transitional countries. Her project aims at further investigating a more comprehensive and improved understanding of issues around the characteristics of capital structure, across different institutional backgrounds. Moreover, her project tries to show how firm-specific and country-specific factors work on financing choices of corporate. The object of research focuses on those transitional countries, and tries to compare similarities and differences of capital structure between developing economies, and developed economies, in order to further research the effects of macro-environment on financing decision.
