Biography
Mohamed Shaban BA PhD; is a member of CFA Institute. Mohamed is a Lecturer in Accounting and Finance. He is also an associate coordinator for the Efficiency & Productivity Research Unit at the University of Leicester School of Management (ULSM). Mohamed is currently responsible for a number of Employer Engagement activities at the School of Management. Formerly he worked in several managerial posts in top regional companies in Egypt before joining academia. His major research fields are capital markets and development, capital structure, market risk quantification (in particular applying Extreme Value Theory to quantify market risk in emerging markets) and efficiency and productivity analysis in European and emerging economies. He is currently collaborating with international scholars on a number of research projects.

Banks’ efficiency and performance, regulation and supervision in the banking industry, mergers & acquisitions, capital structure and market risk analysis
