Matthew was awarded a masters degree from Bristol Business School in 1994 and a doctorate from Keele University in 2001. He joined the University of Leicester in 1999.
Research Interests
His current research is concerned with Levinas, ethics, the market and the education of marketing. Matthew is presently working with N. Ellis and A. Lai on an ERDF funded project exploring corporate donation and social responsibility. Following TAN funding Matthew is also writing up research on the role of technology in distance learning management education. The role of marketing in healthcare management provision is a central theme in his research with K. Gray on the National Health Service. Finally, building on his earlier work that looks at popular culture and marketing, Matthew is working with W. Smith on the ethics of invisibility.
