Biography

I joined the School of Management in September 2011. Previously I was an Associate Professor at Warwick Business School where I was academic director of the BSc International Management and BSc Management degree programmes. I am an associate fellow of the British Psychological Society and a Chartered Psychology, and have a BA from Leeds University, an MA from Lancaster University, and PhD from Warwick University.

Research Interests

My central research interest is the relationship between technology and organisational behaviour, with particular focus on subjectivity, power, perception, and the human sensorium. Associate interests include alternative (non-visual) ways of knowing, management history, and alternative forms of organising.

PhD Supervision

I would be especially interested in supervising PhD study in the following areas:

  • Psychological and organisational implications of information and communication technologies
  • Non-visual senses and subjectivity
  • Non-visual epistemologies
  • Organising festivals and events
  • Applications of anarchist and situationist political philosophy to the
    study of organisational behaviour
