Christophe holds a PhD in Financial Economics (University of Paris I Pantheon Sorbonne) and he joined the School of Management at the University of Leicester as Lecturer in Finance in August 2011. His initial background is MSc in Business Engineering from the University of Liege. After graduating, he was awarded with an MA in Economics from the University of Paris I. He also holds a MA in Philosophy of Sciences from the Catholic University of Louvain as well as a MSc in Financial Risk Management and a BSc in Computer Sciences. Between 2009 and 2011, Christophe had a postdoctoral fellowship in Canada (University of Quebec at Montreal). He was visiting scholar at the CPNSS at the London School of Economics between September 2011 and August 2012.
His research interest focuses on interdisciplinary in financial economics and more precisely on behavioral finance and econophysics (physics applied to finance). Christophe is also interested in the emergence of social\development impact bonds and how this financial innovation can contribute to society. He tries to use his philosophical background in order to propose some epistemological reflections about financial economics. For several years, Christophe has been a research consultant for private companies, such as JPMorgan, Suez Gaz de France etc. and he recently starts collaborating with African Development Bank.
Christophe is currently working on book on Econophysics (Oxford University Press) and he regularly publishes papers in journals in which he also has editorial\referee activities. He is Editor in Chief of the International Journal of Economics and Management Engineering (IJEME) and Associate Editor of the International Journal of Management Concepts & Philosophy (IJMCP). Christophe is also guest editor for a special issue on econphysics in the International Review of Financial Analysis.
Since October 2012, Christophe has been involved in another PhD in Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge (supervisor: Dr Anna Alexandrova). The objective of this second PhD is to develop an epistemological perspective on his current work about econophysics.
