We are pleased to inform you that the 2012 Regional Residential School is to be held in Montego Bay, Jamaica from Friday 8 June to Sunday 10 June (inclusive). The event is open to all registered School of Management distance learning students and thanks to special conference rates we are pleased to be able to host the event in the luxurious setting of the all-inclusive Hilton Rose Hall Resort and Spa.

About the Regional Residential School

The Regional Residential School has been designed to offer opportunities for you to work closely with fellow students and your tutors. In the process you will develop your study skills, identify ways to study smarter and engage with new ideas, providing a means to improve your grades and the overall student experience.

Venue

The Regional Residential School will take place at the all-inclusive Hilton Rose Hall Resort and Spa. The resort provides for a wide range of activities outside of the classroom environment, making networking both convenient and relaxing. Due to the stunning setting and beautiful climate, we anticipate that students will wish to make full use of the unique venue and the fantastic price to bring their family and make a holiday of the event.

Fees for the Regional Residential School

As on previous occasions a nominal registration fee will be levied for students who attend the Regional Residential School. The fee covers attendance at the event and attendance at the Gala Dinner and Graduation Celebration. 

Please note that accommodation is not included in the fee, however, the resort have offered a series of special rates for attendees.

* Students registered through Education for Advancement who pay their tuition fees in US Dollars can pay the Regional Residential School fee in US Dollars. Please read the instructions on the Payment Information document throughly. The rate of USD 155 was fixed at 30 January 2012.

Please note that the resort have extended these special rates to cover the period of 5 - 13 June 2012, however, only a very limited amount of rooms are available outside of the Regional Residential School dates and whilst availability lasts.  A dedicated reservation website for this event will be available when registration opens on 1 February 2012.

Students who do not wish to stay at the resort are advised that the resort will charge an access fee of USD 75 per day for entry to the resort and meals, beverages during the day.

Graduation Celebration

It is not always possible for students to travel to the UK to attend their graduation, therefore, the School of Management incorporates a graduation celebration event within the Regional Residential School. This will take place on Saturday 9 June and is a perfect opportunity for individuals who have recently graduated to meet with School of Management staff and fellow graduates, wear the graduation robes and celebrate their achievements with family and friends. A photographer will be present at the celebration and graduates can purchase photographs after the event.

Fees for the Graduation Celebration

A small fee will be levied to graduates  and their guests who wish to attend the Gala Dinner and Graduation Celebration. The fee covers attendance, food and drinks and robe hire (graduates only).
