The Vaughan Centre for Lifelong Learning offers a MPhil/PhD programme for students undertaking research in the fields of:

  • Popular Culture and Spirituality/Religion
  • Adult Education and Lifelong Learning
  • Civil Safety and Security

The programme welcomes applications for full- or part-time registration from UK, EU and International students. Full-time MPhil/PhD registrands must be resident in the Leicester area during their period of registration.

We are happy to receive informal enquiries and ideas about potential research topics, as our academic staff may or may not have the expertise to engage in supervision of your topics.

It is important to look at the research interests of VCLL academic staff, and to discuss your area of interest with us early on in the application process.
