This part-time course will give you the opportunity to enhance your management career with a recognised qualification from a major British University of international standing! Whether you are on the first steps of the management ladder or an established manager seeking a formal qualification, this one year part-time Certificate course will equip you with the skills and knowledge to become a more effective manager. Through face-to-face teaching and group discussions, along with learning support materials, you will gain a broad understanding of all the major management disciplines.
The Certificate comprises seven modules studied from September to June, followed by an individual project on a management topic of special interest to you.
Assessment
Assessments are designed to assist your personal development as a manager and include: three written assignments; one case-study examination; a group presentation and a project report.
Career relevance and employability
This Certificate is designed to introduce students to both classical and contemporary theories and approaches to management practice. You will have the opportunity to develop critical thinking skills and to reflect on different strategies to solve problems.
You will be encouraged to develop your communication skills, think more creatively and delegate more effectively. You will learn and practise the skills of leadership and negotiation in order to become a better manager.
