Fees, Payments & Refunds
Cancellation and Relocation of Courses
The University reserves the right to cancel courses prior to commencement and, for operational reasons, to relocate courses without notice.
Students are advised to check all course details at enquiry stage and prior to enrolment.
If a course is cancelled by the University prior to starting, your fees will be refunded in full.
Course fees are shown on the relevant webpage for each subject.
Fees quoted on this website are for 2010/11 academic year. These may increase for students continuing into a second year of study in 2011/12. They cover tuition, examination and assessment fees and course materials.
Please note that the fees for some courses may include charges for refreshments and lunch(es), and are clearly indicated.
For the majority of courses, fees may be paid in three instalments. A first instalment must be paid before the start of your course. Cheques should be made payable to ‘University of Leicester’. It is also possible to pay course fees of over £20 by credit or debit card.
If a course is cancelled prior to starting, your fees will be refunded in full.
If you do not start your course, or decide to withdraw after registration, any refund will be calculated according to the University of Leicester Refund Policy and will depend on whether you are studying on a campus based or distance learning course. For further details, please see
