Fees and Funding
Fees for 2012–2013

Fees are calculated depending on where you currently live. If you are normally a UK or EU resident you will be classed as a Home/EU student. If you a usually resident outside of the EU you will be classed as an Overseas student. If you are unsure if you are an EU or Overseas student you can check the Directgov website
Fees cover the following services provided by the university
- Registration and administration (including library access and computing service facilities)
- Teaching materials and assignments
- Academic and personal tutoring
- Assignment marking
- Dissertation supervision and marking
Fees do not cover
- Additional recommended reading
- Travel, accommodation and refreshments at residential sessions
When you have been made an offer, you will be sent more information about how and when you can pay your fees.
LLM International Scholarships for 2012
The School of Law is pleased to announce new scholarships for international students who excel academically in their undergraduate degree.
Eligible for international students who achieve a higher final grade than our benchmark entry requirement.
- International Human Rights Law students are eligible for a scholarship of £2000 if their final benchmark is above a high 2:2 or equivalent.
- Public International Law students are eligible for a scholarship of £2000 if their final benchmark is above a high 2:2 or equivalent.
- General Law Programme or the International Law Programme students are eligible for a scholarship of £2000 if their final benchmark is above a high 2:2 or equivalent.
- International Commercial Law programme students are eligible for a scholarship of £1500 if their final benchmark is above a high 2:2 or equivalent. These students may be eligible for a scholarship of £2000 instead, if their qualifying degree is a first or equivalent.
Scholarship applications must be made before 31st August 2012 with the attached application form (docx) and relevant proof of final degree achieved. Applicants for the scholarships must hold a valid offer for a place on a campus based LLM programme for 2012. Scholarship awards cannot be carried over to the following year.

School of Law Scholarships
In addition to the above scholarships, we also have a number of scholarships available to both International and Home/EU students.
- 3 x International student scholarships of £2,000 for students who may be experiencing difficulty funding their studies.
- 4 x Home/EU student scholarships of £1,000 for students who achieve excellent results in their undergraduate degree or who are experiencing hardship in funding their studies.
Closing date for scholarship applications is 31 May 2012. Students applying for the awards should hold a conditional or unconditional offer for a full time place on an LLM programme beginning October 2012.
