Staff and students take part in Leicester Legal Walk

Leicester Law School team walks 10km around Leicester to raise money for the Pro Bono Society

On Monday 19 June, students from the Pro Bono Society and members of Law School staff completed a 10km walk around Leicester. These Legal Walks, organised by the network of Legal Support Trusts, have taken place in various cities across the country with the aim of securing funds to support services that help those most in need of legal aid. The Leicester Legal Walk was organised by the Midland Legal Support Trust to raise money for local legal advice services.

Our team were walking to raise money for the Pro Bono Society who run 10 different projects providing free support to vulnerable people in the local community who do not have access to legal advice. The walk took the team around different areas of Leicester, including New Walk, Abbey Park, Saint Matthews and Gallowtree Gate. So far they have raised over £300 to support their vital work and donations can still be made via their fundraising page.
