The Centre for Interdisciplinary Science offers a wide range of outreach activities; some require that your students be present on campus, however, many can be delivered at your own school/college at a mutually convenient date. We are also in the process of adapting several activities so that they can be offered over a teleconference or web link.

The Centre for Interdisciplinary Science contributes to the University's Widening Participation Scheme, which gives students who might not ordinarily consider Higher Education the opportunity to experience it and encourages them to think about continuing their studies after school.

We currently offer the following  range of outreach activities:

• Activities for Schools and Colleges
• Web-hosted activities
• Departmental visits 
• Careers Fairs/Days

If you have any questions about the suitability of a particular activity, or would like to know which might be the best for a particular group or timetable slot, we will be able to discuss what would be the most satisfactory for your students.

An evening with

A new initiative currently under development by the Centre for Interdisciplinary Science is to develop  and offer a series of evening classes and workshops for teachers/educators that focus on a range of different science topics. The aim of these sessions would be to inform teachers/educators about the latest developments in their respective fields and discuss how this information can be adapted and disseminated during teaching to enliven the classroom experience.
