Visiting the Centre
If you are thinking of applying to Centre for Interdisciplinary Science we strongly encourage you to visit! It's the best way for you to see exactly what we have to offer. We will give you a warm welcome, a tour of the Centre and an introduction to our teaching and research facilities.
Directions to the University can be found on this page.
Open Days and Visit (UCAS) Days:
Open Days are aimed at students who have not yet submitted an application through the UCAS system and would like to know whether this course is suitable for
them. It is an informal opportunity to meet staff and gather information about the course.
UCAS Visit Days are aimed at students who have already applied to join the course.
UCAS Visit Days (2012 Entry)

The visit usually starts with an introductory talk from the Centre Director, Prof Derek Raine. You will then be shown around the Centre's teaching and laboratory facilities within the Physics and Astronomy Building; you will also be talked through the facilities available elsewhere on campus.
On UCAS Days we also take the opportunity to give each students a short (5-10 minute) interview.
Throughout your visit you are welcome to quiz our tour guides, students and staff. We normally set aside some time before and after the visit, whislt refreshments are served, so that you have a chance to talk informally with both students and staff.
