NEW: AHRC Fully Funded Doctoral Studentships in History

The School of History is now advertising three new fully funded Postgraduate Studentships and would like to hear from potential students interested in working with major partners (the British Library and the National Maritime Museum) on these exciting projects. Holy War Lecture

The School of History is pleased to announce a lecture by visiting scholar Professor Philippe Buc of the University of Vienna entitled 'Theology, Holy War and History in the West from the European Middle Ages to the Recent Past'. The event is open to all and further details can be found here

Conference: Mortality, Care and Military Welfare during the British Civil Wars

This exciting international conference organised by the University of Leicester’s Centre for English Local History will celebrate the opening of the National Civil War Centre at Newark Museum, Nottinghamshire, on 7-8 August 2015.
