English Local History Bursaries
The Centre for English Local History are also able to offer financial aid to students who are studying for a postgraduate degree in English Local History.
Hoskins/Duffield Fund
The fund has been set up to help postgraduate students with their expenses while taking a postgraduate degree in English Local History. This has been taken in the past to mean the payment of fees, though it could cover other expenses such as travel to archives, microfilms and so on.
Applications should be discussed with, and then sent to, the Head of the Centre Professor Keith Snell.
Friends of the Centre for English Local History
The Friends offer substantial bursaries for the MA in English Local History. Students may apply for support to cover a wide range of expenses, including travel and accommodation on field trips, books and fees. Find out more about the Friends of the Centre for English Local History.
The deadline for applications for the 2011 bursaries has now passed. Information about the 2012 application round will be announced shortly.
Applications for these bursaries are accepted on condition that a University application has been made.
