Biography
I studied History at the University of Reading, before completing a Masters degree in Medieval History at Durham University. In October 2009 I was awarded a PhD from the University of Birmingham following the successful examination of my doctoral thesis. After qualifying as a Secondary School History Teacher (2009-2010), I joined the School of Historical Studies in October 2010 as a British Academy Postdoctoral Fellow. I am currently working on a three-year research project ‘Heresy and Orthodoxy in the works of Bede’. I undertake a variety of teaching responsibilities for the department and I also act as a personal tutor to undergraduate students.
