Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for PhD researchers who are starting the preparation for their viva. Researchers should be planning to submit in the next six months or should already have submitted their thesis.

What will it cover?

The aims of the workshop are:

  • To raise researchers’ awareness of the purpose and format of the viva voce examination
  • To enable students to start preparing for the viva
  • To provide opportunities for researchers to practise answering questions/defending their theses
