Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is for students at all levels who need to read papers from science journals as part of their academic work. We look at practical tools that will help you get the most out of the papers that you have to read.

What will it cover?

  • The structure of a scientific paper
  • How this can help you read a paper
  • What is meant by critical appraisal (or critical reading) of a paper
  • Techniques and tools for critically reading scientific papers

Do I need to do anything to prepare?

Please bring with you a paper that you need to read. It might be helpful if it is a paper that you have not finished reading!
