We were extremely pleased to welcome Bettany Hughes to the 2010 Festival of Postgraduate Research.  Bettany is an award winning historian and author, and a regular presenter and writer of television and radio documentaries. She is also a Visiting Research Fellow at King's College, London and President of the Joint Association of Classical Teachers. Her passion to communicate her research has taken her to all corners of the world, where she has lectured on a variety of subjects. At the award ceremony, Bettany talked about the importance of communicating research beyond the academic world, and shared her own experiences of communicating research through the media.
