Who is this training day for?

This half day training session is for all Postgraduate Taught Masters students, whether they are planning to pursue employment or further their studies by undertaking a PhD following the completion of their current course.PG student

What will this event cover?

Please see the programme for a breakdown of the different sessions you can get involved in.

The event will include two options, running concurrently:

  • PhD study option (A) - covering relevant areas such as: awareness of PhD programmes, the application process and how to write research proposals.
  • Employment option (B) -  including career management information introducing employment choices, career development and portfolio development, plus an  'Employment Drop-in Surgery'  for one-to-one help and advice.

PGT studentsRequirements

Please carefully consider which of the workshops you would like to participate in. If you are thinking about furthering your studies, having a PhD topic in mind would be helpful.
