AHRC Professional Preparation Masters Studentships in the School of Museum Studies
We are delighted to offer these studentships, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), to support three new masters degree students to join our vibrant postgraduate community from October 2011. The studentships will pay full-time University UK/EU tuition fees and include an annual tax-free maintenance grant.
Entry Requirements
AHRC studentships are highly competitive and only applicants with a first class honours degree (or equivalent) can be considered. If English is not your first language then you will need to provide evidence of proficiency in written and spoken English. The normal minimum requirement for admission onto one of these programmes is an overall score of 6.5 on the British Council IELTS test or 600 on the TOEFL test.
The studentships are only available to applicants who are eligible to pay the UK/EU tuition fee - i.e., those who are permanently resident in the UK or another EU country. Please note that applicants from the EU (excluding the UK)must have been resident in the UK for at least three years prior to commencing the studentship to receive both the stipend and fee waiver components of this award; EU applicants who do not meet this criteria will receive the fee waiver component only. Applicants from outside the EU are not eligible for these studentships unless they have been granted permanent UK residency/citizenship. The studentships are for full-time study only and applicants must be able to commence their studies in October 2011.
