Writing and Submitting Your Thesis

Writing your thesis may well be the biggest challenge of your academic career so far. The scale of the task will no doubt seem daunting – describing and analysing your research in 30,000 to 80,000 words (depending on your discipline) and the whole thing to be completed and submitted by the end of your final year.

However, it is important that you are not intimidated. Over the course of your time here, you have shown this is something you are capable of – the key now is to think about what you want to do, how you are going to do it, and how you will make sure that you stay on track.

Sessions to help you plan and write your thesis and prepare for your viva exam are presented as part of the College training programmes and the Postgraduate Researcher Development Team workshop programme.
